  •  Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center – Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation
  • Misty Smallwood, Corbin Health and Rehabilitation – Top Ten Supportive Care

“It is a privilege to honor caregivers for the outstanding care and devotion they show every day to their residents. These honorees are an example of the many Kentucky providers and caregivers delivering quality care,” said KAHCF Board Chair Terry Skaggs. “This recognition is a testament to their dedication to their residents.”

The Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation honorees were selected based on CMS star ratings of four or higher to apply, and then satisfaction surveys of residents and families.

Corbin Administrator Rebecca Hamblin, “It is wonderful to see our staff recognized for their dedication and commitment to quality care to their residents.”

More than 700 long-term care providers met during the meeting, energized by general sessions challenging them with strategies to cope with stress on the job, hiring and retaining quality staff, and breakout sessions on a variety of issues facing long-term care providers.

The week was capped off with the Quality Awards Banquet on November 15. The Association honored 33 facilities with the Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation Award.

The residents and staff at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center are extremely proud of Misty and what she has accomplished. Also to all the staff for making Corbin HRC one of the Best of Kentucky.
